Millbrook High School Boys’ Basketball Coach Ben Bates has resigned after leading the Pioneers for just one season. Bates, who led the Pioneers to a 12-12 record in 2016-17, is leaving Millbrook to coach boys’ basketball at the St. James School in Hagerstown, Maryland. Bates also will be leaving his teaching position at Millbrook at the conclusion of the 2016-17 school year.

Millbrook High School’s Coordinator of Student Activities Scott Mankins says, “We appreciate the time and effort Coach Bates invested in our basketball program this year and wish him well as he begins coaching at the St. James School. We will begin the search for a new coach in the coming days.”
