Attendance: Parents, please call or e-mail the school if your child is going to be late or absent. If your child is absent, they must bring a note from you, a doctor, or the court the first day they return from school.

The 2/06/2010 administration of the ACT , scheduled to be given at Millbrook High School, Winchester, VA, has been cancelled due to inclement weather. The rescheduled test date will be posted at www.actstudent.org as soon as it is set. Registered examinees will receive official notification from ACT. This announcement is only for those examinees registered at

Millbrook High School.

New Athletic Dates:
The Northwestern District Indoor Track Championships at Sherando have been moved from Wednesday, February 3 to Thursday, February 4 with events starting at 2:00 PM .

The Northwestern District Wrestling Tournament has been moved from Saturday, February 6 to Thursday, February 4 with wrestling beginning at 4:00 PM .

 

 

The varsity girls' and boys' basketball games with James Wood have been postponed and will be played on Thursday, February 11 at 6:00 and 8:00 PM .

Also the Northwestern District Swim Meet has been moved from Friday Evening to Thursday
evening starting at  7:45pm @ WPRD Pool.

The Boys Basketball at Jefferson on Feb. 3 has been postponed until Thursday, Feb. 4th

2010 - 2011 course registration for current 9th and 10th graders is scheduled for January 19 - 22. For current 8th graders (rising 9th), course registration will take place at James Wood Middle School on January 27th and at Admiral Byrd Middle School on January 26th, 27th, and 28th. Please talk to your student regarding course selections for next year prior to these dates. Early in the spring, verification sheets will be sent home to confirm selections. The 2010 - 2011 program of study is posted on the Frederick County Public Schools website. Hopefully we will be able to distribute the hard copy to your students prior to registration.  

Also, February  4 at 6:30 pm in the MHS auditorium, MHS counselors will host a meeting for parents of rising 9th graders to review high school requirements and to answer any questions. Teachers will also be available to talk about their subject areas and to answer questions.
