All Students Eligible for Free School Meals
Posted on 09/04/2020
School MealsLate yesterday, we received details about the U.S. Department of Agriculture deciding to extend the free school meals program. As a result of the extension, all students enrolled in Frederick County Public Schools are eligible to receive a free breakfast and lunch each day school is in session through December 22.

The free meals are available to all students regardless of whether they are participating in hybrid or all distance learning. Students participating in the hybrid learning model will be able to receive free breakfast and/or lunch on the days they are physically attending school for that day as well as the days in which they will be engaged in distance learning. Students participating in the all distance learning model will be able to pick-up free breakfast and lunch each day school is in session (Monday-Friday) from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at any Frederick County Public School in a special drive-thru that will be set up on each school campus. Get more information on obtaining meals.

Eligible families should still apply to participate in the Free and Reduced Meals Program so those students deemed eligible to receive free and reduced priced meals can do so once the free meals program ends in December.
