Bright Futures Food Packs

In coordination with Bright Futures Frederick-Winchester, food packs will be distributed throughout the school closure. Food and monetary donations are being accepted. View a list of food items needed. Food donations can be dropped off at the Bright Futures Distribution Center, located at 178 Indian Hollow Road, at any time and should be placed in the bins located at the entrance to the center. Those families whose children typically receive Bright Futures Food Packs at school may pick up food packs on July 22 and August 5 from 6:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. at the Bright Futures Frederick-Winchester Distribution Center located at 178 Indian Hollow Road. Food packs will also be distributed on those dates from 10:30 a.m.-Noon at Stonewall Elementary School and from 1:00 p.m.-2:30 p.m. at NREP at Senseny Road School. All food packs will be distributed via drive-by pickup only. Individuals with questions should contact Bright Futures at 540-667-2490.

Student Registration

Families who have moved into Frederick County and not yet enrolled their student(s) in Frederick County Public Schools for the 2019-20 school year should contact Central Registrar Carrie Vivas at 540-409-7293 for information on how to register their student(s).

Registration is open for students who will be entering Frederick County Public Schools in the 2020-21 school year as first through 12th graders. This includes students residing in Frederick County who are currently homeschooled or enrolled in a private school and plan to enroll in FCPS next year. Central Registrar Carrie Vivas should be contacted at 540-409-7293 for information on how to complete the registration process.

Preliminary applications for the 2020-21 FCPS preschool program are being accepted from the families of eligible students residing in the Apple Pie Ridge, Gainesboro, Indian Hollow, Jordan Springs, Redbud Run and Stonewall elementary school attendance zones.

All children who will be five years of age on or before September 30, 2020, must be registered for kindergarten for the 2020-21 school year. Parents wishing to delay their child’s attendance for one year must submit a written request to the Superintendent. Parents with children who will begin kindergarten in the 2020-21 school year must register their child for kindergarten by contacting the registrar at the school their child will attend. The registrar will assist them in completing the registration process.
