The Parent Resource Center:
  • provides support and assistance for families of children with special needs
  • offers a lending library of books and videos on topics relating to disabilities and special education
  • serves as an information and referral source for parents, educators and the community about services within our community
  • offers information sessions on disability related topics for families and staff throughout the year

All meetings are open to the public. The SEAC welcomes anyone interested in special education. There is designated time for public comment during the meeting.


I'm Determined Summit

The I'm Determined Youth and Parent Summit is sponsored by the Virginia Department of Education and the Partnership for People with Disabilities. Youth with disabilities from across the Commonwealth meet to network and discuss issues of importance to youth and young adults with disabilities. This year's summit is June 10-12, 2020, at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA.
